What is "Hot Rubber" Crack-Filling?

Hot rubberized crack filling has a reputation for having the lowest failure rate of the methods used to repair cracks.

That's why we use it at Affordable Sealcoating.

Cracks in asphalt are caused by oxidation, drying out and shrinking of asphalt, poor installation, water penetration and the freeze/thaw cycle in cold climates. Proper crack sealing creates a seal between asphalt and the asphalt sub-surface to inhibit water from penetrating and causing extensive asphalt repairs.

A thorough routing of cracks prior to sealing provides a clean, uniform reservoir for the crack sealant to seat correctly while distributing the proper amount to every crack for maximum bonding to the sidewall of the crack. Routing is always recommended for commercial applications that have never been hot rubber sealed.

Cracks repaired with hot rubber filling are projected to typically last three to five years. SCHEDULE YOUR ESTIMATE

How to fix driveway Cracks?

Asphalt Cracks are an invitation to moisture and harmful chemicals to seep into the pavement’s base and ruin your driveway. As this moisture expands and freezes, the pavement will break and the driveway will fail. To prevent this, we install a high-quality, hot applied crack and joint sealant to your cracks before sealcoating. Although this crackfill is visible, the sealed cracks prevents moisture for causing further damage. SCHEDULE YOUR ESTIMATE
